Joe’s Women’s Centre was founded in May 1984 to provide daytime shelter for Ottawa’s homeless women. Joe’s Women’s Centre continues to play a significant role in the lives of many women and their children. A warm, safe, caring place to spend the day makes a real difference in one’s life.

We remember and acknowledge the painful legacy and ongoing impacts of the residential school system. Commemorating this day is an opportunity to honour Survivors and deepen our understanding of the history and lasting impacts of residential schools.

St. Joe’s Women’s Centre is incredibly grateful to the and Sharing Exchange and our broader community for coming together to support families this school year💜

Thanks to your generosity, St. Joe's Women's Centre was able to support 63 families and 110 children, providing backpacks and essential school supplies for students to confidently return to the classroom.

We had a delicious lunch, played lots of games, got creative with face paint, and enjoyed the beautiful weather🍉⚽🎨
