All progress on federal cycling policy has been built on non-partisan collaboration—and moving forward will require that same shared commitment.

On Tuesday, Parliamentary co-hosts Minister Julie Dabrusin (Liberal), Senator Marty Deacon (ISG), and MP Gabriel Hardy (Conservative) brought all parties together for 2026. Joined by MP Gord Johns for Courtenay-Alberni (NDP), Andréanne Larouche, députée de Shefford (Bloc), and Green Party Leader Elizabeth May, leaders from every corner of Parliament spoke to the value of everyday cycling, celebrated our collective wins, and reaffirmed their commitment to future progress.

Two Senators and 16 Members of Parliament (including two Ministers and one party leader) gathered with international dignitaries, industry champions, representatives from national organizations, bike advocates and local cyclists to celebrate 2026.

The message is clear: investments in safe, connected bicycle infrastructure are essential to building a healthier, happier, cleaner and more prosperous nation for all.

Thank you to all the parliamentarians, volunteers, sponsors and attendees for making it another amazing celebration of cycling at the heart of our democracy!
