Venezuela Still Needs Our Help

On June 24, two powerful earthquakes—measuring magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5—struck north-central Venezuela within seconds of each other.

As of July 21, official reports indicate:

• 5,278 lives lost
• 16,740 people injured
• 17,907 people without housing
• 23,587 people living in temporary camps
• 856 buildings damaged
• 190 buildings completely collapsed

These numbers are difficult to comprehend, but behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a community facing unimaginable loss.

Canadian Global Response is supporting relief efforts through trusted local partners serving affected communities.
