Today we had the first day of our last Mission Adventures for the year!
We are honoured to welcome Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship from Coquitlam who are here to learn, grow, serve and share alongside us for the week.
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner (thank you Mary Gifford), a beautiful worship time (thank you Juliet and Jeremiah), played some ice breakers and learned a little bit of the history and heart of YWAM.
We are looking forward to the adventures this week holds and ask you to come together with us as the body in prayer.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Matthew 9:36

This was Christ's response to the harassed and helpless of his day. What will your response be?

In order to become the hands and feet of Christ, we must first take on his heart...but before we can take on his heart of compassion for others, we need to have had our own personal experience with God's heart of compassion.

Our goal is to be able to comfort others with the same comfort with which we ourselves have been comforted by God (2 Corinthians 1:4) and to be walking testimonies of the power of the Holy Spirit to deliver, heal, restore and transform people's lives. God is looking for hearts ready to be restored and sent out in the power of the Holy Spirit as unstoppable ministers of his love to the most vulnerable of this world: the woman and children, the disabled, the poor, the sick, the refugee, the enslaved and those without access to basic human rights. Will you respond to ComPassion's Call?

Tomorrow evening is our last community night gathering until the second Tuesday of September. We covet your prayers as the Global Gateway team steps into their vacation time and we pray for a very blessed summer for all of you who gather with us every Tuesday night. Tomorrow night is just a regular potluck, no barbeque this time around. Please bring a side drink or dessert to fill the table and all of our stomachs. We look forward to seeing you there!

This post is a little bit late, but our team did a fantastic job at the Cherry Festival for Canada Day sharing the gospel with those in attendance. About 1000 people heard the good news. A big thanks to all those who volunteered with us and may the seeds that were planted take root!
