Today, on First Responder Day, we would like to take a moment to recognize the incredible people who show up,day in and day out, when others are facing some of the worst moments of their lives.

To all first responders; Paramedics, Firefighters, Police, Dispatchers. Thank you for your dedication, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to our community πŸš“πŸš‘πŸš’

Yesterday, our Community Paramedics reminded us what this profession is truly about πŸ§‘πŸš‘πŸ™

Going far beyond the call of duty, they helped fulfill a very special last wish for a palliative community member. Escorting her by ambulance to the Lil NHL so she could watch her Great-Grandnephew play goalie for the first time. A moment that may seem simple to some, but meant absolutely everything to her that she was able to be there.

This is compassion in action. This is dignity. This is care that reaches beyond medicine and touches the heart β™₯️

We are so incredibly proud of our team for making moments like this possible, because sometimes the most important care we can give is helping someone live fully, right to the very end.

Thank you for showing what it truly means to serve our community πŸ’«

πŸ’š Supporting Paramedic Mental Health πŸ’š

Behind every uniform is a person who experiences the highs and lows of helping others. Paramedics face intense situations every day, and their mental health and wellbeing matter just as much as the patients they care for.

Service dog and puppy visits bring calm, comfort, and connection β€” offering our teams a moment to breathe, smile, and recharge. 🐾 These visits remind us that caring for ourselves is part of caring for others.

Let’s continue breaking the stigma, supporting each other, and making mental wellness a priority in emergency services. πŸš‘πŸš¨πŸ©ΊπŸ’šπŸΆ

❀️ Pawsitive Vibes 🐢 πŸš‘ 🐾

Today we started a new community program with our friends at Six Nations Paramedic Services. A day for our first responders to let go and let the wet noses and cuddles of a puppy consume them today. That one hour of playtime might not change the world but it might change someone’s world.

We never know what someone else’s is struggling with and we are not there to judge. We are simply there to say β€œThank you for your services β€œ and gift them with some puppy love.

We look forward to our next visit.
