Oak Bay Xmas Cup The OB Xmas Cup is a Charity Hockey Tournament held every Boxing Day. 4 Teams compete for the chance to hoist the Cup while raising money for a good cause!

Each year a group of friends with a very mixed skill level battle it out for the coveted Oak Bay Xmas Cup. Team Christmas, Team Hanukkah, Team Feliz Navidad, and Team Festivus compete in this family friendly event. We have raised over $99,000 for various charities in our first 11 years.

We are thrilled to share that yesterday we made our 2025 Oak Bay Xmas Cup Donation of $25,167 to KidSport Greater Victoria. This is our second highest donation ever and brings the OBXC’s total donations since 2009 to $201,000!!

The funds will be directed towards helping almost 70 local kids play the sport of their choice this year. KidSport Greater Victoria has been at work in this community for 25 years, supporting local families in financial need to ensure kids aren’t left on the sidelines as a result of financial barriers. The 15th annual OBXC was one best years yet with some fun hockey an incredible family skate which has become a great addition to the event.

We are excited to share that yesterday we made our 2024 Oak Bay Xmas Cup Donation of $19,625 to the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island!

The funds will be directed to Jeneece Place and will contribute to 20 weeks worth of stays for families in need. We were lucky enough to get a tour yesterday of this amazing facility and gain a better appreciation of the impact it has on Island families. Thank you to Rebecka, John & Krista for taking the time to show us around and tells u all about Jeneece Place.

The 14th annual OBXC was another huge success with some fun hockey and fantastic family skate which has become a great addition to the event.
