The Mercy Tree

The Mercy Tree Spreading joy all year round. The Mercy Tree is a heartfelt initiative that blossomed from the compassionate vision of an 8-year-old named Mercy Stretton.

Her desire was simple yet profound: to ensure that children in need experience the joy of Christmas. It has expanded to include a Back-To-School Grocery Drive, which focuses on providing children in low-income areas with healthy snacks, ensuring they start the school year nourished and ready to learn. This dual effort underscores the initiative's dedication to enhancing the well-being of children and families throughout the year. The Mercy Tree is an initiative of C3 Vancouver.

Don’t forget! This Sunday is gift drop off day for The Mercy Tree at If you still want to be involved, there’s still time. Just go to https://themercytree.ca  and select a tag or make a cash donation (which qualifies for a charitable tax receipt).

Will you help us spread the Joy of Christmas?

Our annual Giving Tree is happening right now and there are 2 ways you can be involved!

1) TAGS 🏷️- Select a tag to purchase a gift for a child in need via our online tree. These children are in foster care and their parent(s) are living in difficult circumstances, so this makes Christmas happen when it might otherwise be a sad and stressful time for these families.

2) DONATE 💲- By making a cash donation, this enables us to purchase gifts for the parents of these children as well as supporting other families in need in our community. All donations qualify for a charitable tax receipt.
