We’re delighted to announce the opening of our newest exhibition, ‘More Than Just a Number’, featuring work by Paige Cox. Presented in our rotunda space, ‘More Than Just a Number’ features five, mixed media works relating to Paige’s research on poverty and systemic marginalization within our community.

A locally-based advocate, educator and youth leader, Paige Cox is the founder of Dove Program Cape Breton and a graduate of Cape Breton University, where she recently completed her Master of Education degree. With this exhibition, she hopes “that viewers will will come to see the human aspect of poverty, understanding that people living in poverty are more than a number; they are people.”

‘More Than Just a Number’ continues through November 27, 2026.

Hello everyone. Allow me to introduce myself properly.

My name is Buzzby, and I am the official bee of the Dove Program. I work very closely with Miss Paige, Miss Lily, and the girls, making sure everything stays organized and, more importantly, that everyone is doing what they’re supposed to be doing.

I’ll be honest—I’ve been told that Miss Paige and Miss Lily are in charge.

I have chosen not to comment on that at this time. 🤫🐝

I’m pictured here with my two berry colleagues, Mix Berry 🫐 and Blueberry 🫐.

There is, however, an ongoing discussion about whether Blueberry is actually his name. I have decided to remain neutral on the matter.

I do have one question, though…

Why am I the only one who isn’t a berry? 🤨

No one has been able to provide me with a satisfactory answer, so I suppose we’ll just roll with it.

Anyway, I’m very happy to be back with Miss Paige, Miss Lily, and the girls for another year of adventures.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some very important supervising to do.
