Teaching at the BCIT Aerospace campus this week and next.

I teach part time at BCIT, and I'm always glad to be out here - deep in aviation, surrounded by people who care about the work. Proud of what I get to do in that classroom. The students keep me sharp, and teaching really fills me up.

First day back to school across the district, and today I filed my nomination papers at City Hall to run for New Westminster School Board. Feels right to do it on a day like today.

As a Skwo:wech parent and DPAC rep, stepping up in this way means a lot. I'm doing this for my kids, for families across this district, and for schools that deserve people willing to show up and do the work.

Excited to move into this next stage with Community First New West - and grateful for everyone who's already been part of the journey.

Happy Labour Day.

Today I'm thinking about the educators, support workers, and school staff in our district who show up every day to do one of the most important jobs there is -- and who do it with less support and fewer resources than they deserve.

The labour movement built the protections that workers rely on, and that work continues. I'm proud to be running with a team that understands that, and I'm looking forward to the conversations ahead this campaign season.
