For so many of us, moms are our very first mentors. Today, we celebrate and thank all the incredible moms and mother figures who show up with love, strength, and guidance every single day.

Today, we remember. 🕯️
On this day, we pause to honour the 26 miners who lost their lives in the Westray Mine Disaster.

For our community, this is more than history… it is personal. It is fathers, sons, brothers, husbands, friends, and neighbours whose memories continue to live on in the hearts of so many.

As a community organization rooted here in Pictou County, we remember the strength, resilience, and unity that emerged from one of the darkest days in our region’s history.

Today, we honour the 26.
We honour their families.
We honour the workers who continue to advocate for safer workplaces across Canada.
Lest we forget. ❤️⛏️
