This question comes up often - why are we called 'Pâtes et Parle'?
One one hand, our events were first held at a pasta restaurant where our community first began to take shape. But beyond that, our name refers to one of the most fundamental ways through which humans come together: connecting through conversation over a shared meal.
Whether it’s a home-cooked feast around a table or a piece of beef jerky shared on the hiking trail, there is a certain magic that arises from the sharing of food. It invites an opportunity to dig in - to the food, and to the conversations. Unbeknownst to us while it's happening, amidst the bites, the sips, and the free-flowing words, a sense of community is deeply nurtured.
It is precisely this feeling we cultivate at Pâtes et Parle. While the meals are always optional, the conversations become mandatory and a sense of community becomes inevitable.
