❤️ HAPPY ENDING: PRETZEL ❤️

Some dogs take a little longer to find their forever home. Pretzel took 149 days… but every single day was worth it. 🐾

When Pretzel first came into rescue, he was a handsome little stray found in an area known for dog dumping. He arrived playful, goofy and sweet, quickly showing us what a wonderful boy he was.

His journey wasn’t completely smooth. There were three entropion surgeries, countless vet visits, the latest was after one of his famous zoomies that ended with a laceration, and 7 stitches. He was also adopted once only to return after he and the resident dog discovered that being great dogs individually, didn’t mean they were meant to live together.

The right home was out there, thankfully Pretzel’s foster family was patient and supportive.

His vivacious spirit caught the attention of Thelma’s parents. Thelma, being an equally happy Shar Pei with a bubbly personality. She needed a friend who understood Pei-play and could keep up. Right away, Pretzel proved she met her match and the two of them tired each other out…like the’ve known each other forever! They walk, frolic and snuggle together like two best friends. Pretzel jumped into their lives, settled down and cuddled his way into their hearts. This was definitely worth the wait! Congratulations Pretzel…. New name Teddy, Thelma and your new mom & dad! We look forward to your updates!

For those interested in one of the current chow puppies, the first step is to apply; please understand that we do give past adopters and pre-approved homes first consideration. We are located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; approved applicants must be prepared to physically travel to adopt their pup (also note that they CANNOT go to the US because of CDC rules). If you aren't able to travel in the near future for pickup, please don't apply. Also, we do a home visit either in person or virtually and check current and past vetting to confirm responsible medical care.
