The CDAP Mandate

Mandate for the Children with Disabilities Advocacy (CDA) Project

The CDA Project is an advocacy group designed to protect children with disabilities, including but not limited to ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, Learning disorders of any kind, etc. We believe all children should be able to have the same opportunities despite any challenges they may be experiencing.

We wish to create monthly informative seminars for parents of children with disabilities as well as parents who suspect their child may have a disability. These seminars will be designed to offer parents information regarding services and resources that may benefit their child. We also wish to give families guidance on procuring services that are cost effective.

We would like to create a database for all services and resources available to the disabled community, where parents can choose and review educators and health professionals and minimize negative experiences.

We wish to include on this website detailed advice of what to do, where to go, and who to speak with about your child’s needs. We would also provide 24 hour contact services so concerned parents can always have someone to turn to.

We wish to create regulations and licenses for people working with children with disabilities. This will ensure that such individuals are properly trained and educated in order to maximize their services and best help children in reaching their full potentials.

We want Quebec Medicare (and eventually all of Canada), to cover the costs of ALL therapies and services for ALL children, even if the child does not have any disabilities but requires diagnostic or assessment services.

Our group is called a project for a reason and we are always willing to take on new ideas and projects working towards the wellbeing and best interests of children.
