Happy Village International (HAVI)

Happy Village International (HAVI) Happy Village International ("HAVI") is a charitable organization whose mission is to advocate for neurodiverse children in Montreal.

Happy Village International’s (HAVI) main goal is to educate children with intellectual disabilities in Ghana, Africa. HAVI aims to construct a school, boarding house and farm run entirely on renewable energy. HAVI will implement specialized programs catered toward the children’s individual needs including learning a vocation. In addition to learning a local trade, students will follow a curriculu

m currently used in Ghana. The agricultural aspect of the project will offer children and staff food and maintain sustainability. Community integration is fundamental to HAVI’s objectives. Villagers will be able to interact with students on local market days when children help sell the schools’ crops. Furthermore, numerous job opportunities will arise with the construction and maintenance of the school, the boarding house and the farm. HAVI will venture to break disability boundaries in Ghana and encourage the children to gain a sense of self in order for them to reintegrate back into society.
