Playin’ it Forward in Montréal
Montréal Suzuki String Orchestra is a dynamic Suzuki-based youth orchestra with big dreams! In 2018, we were invited to participate in the UNESCO sponsored Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival in Vienna and were honoured to take 3rd place in the competition. We look forward to returning in 2020– to celebrate the 250 Anniversary of Beethoven’s birth!
Led by the charismatic violinist Dragan Djerkic, the Montreal Suzuki String Orchestra (MSSO) has welcomed nearly 1000 students since in 1990. Many have gone on to pursue careers as soloists performing with major orchestras worldwide. Dragan and many students were profiled on CTV Montréal’s ONLY IN MONTREAL.

The MSSO is a collaboration of several independent Montréal violin schools. Unfortunately, this means that contributions are not tax-deductible as charitable donations. However, they may be considered for business marketing deductions. ALL donations are making the MSSO dream possible!
