« Les Amis de los Niños de Guatemala » is a Montreal based organization made of a group of friends prepared to donate time and efforts to help Niños de Guatemala (Guatemalan-Dutch non-governmental organization based in Antigua) spread the word about education and its importance, especially in developing countries. The idea started just a few months ago after one of its members, Antonio, decided to
fulfill a life time dream: go beyond the comfort of donating money from his living room and “do something”. He packed his bag and spent 3 weeks assisting teachers in one of the 2 Schools created by NdG. And he did not want to leave it there. Impressed by the impact that small efforts can make to those less fortunate than us, he engaged with friends and colleagues and, with their help, created “Les amis de los Niños de Guatemala”. Becoming a (regional) reference for current and future volunteers
Developing a network of individuals physically and virtually connected to
- Promote the mission and vision of NdG here in Quebec
- Help NdG operate with fundraising initiatives
- Provide competences and skills on Demand (both in Antigua and from Quebec)
