Today was a reminder of the work that remains to be done...🧡

Today, we pause with open hearts to honour our Indigenous sisters and brothers, their families and communities.

As members of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada, we recognize that reconciliation calls us to more than remembrance.

It calls us to listen, to learn, to walk together and to act with compassion, humility and love.

Guided by our faith in Jesus Christ, may we continue to seek truth, foster healing and build relationships rooted in respect and understanding.

May we have the courage to acknowledge the wounds of the past and the commitment to help create a future marked by justice, dignity, hope and peace.

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we renew our commitment to walk alongside our Indigenous sisters and brothers, not only today, but throughout the year, and for years to come.

May God guide our steps as we continue this journey together toward healing and reconciliation.

A little more than one month after posting about the parish collection for the Ministry To Seafarers - Montreal six of our members went on a two hour tour of the Port of Montreal and of the Seafarers Centre in the Old Port area! We were taken care of by two amazing staff members - Michelle and Patty - who enthusiastically spoke about the intense work they do and about the people they serve. We had so many questions, they answered them all and even let us decorate some bags, to be used for smaller gifts to the seafarers who will come through the Port on June 25th, International Seafarers Day!
Thank you and may God bless the Ministry To Seafarers - Montreal for the important work they do - taking care of, giving hope to and accompanying seafarers from around the world on their physical, emotional and spiritual journeys 🚢⚓️🙏

A huge thank you to all parishioners who donated items for the Ministry To Seafarers - Montreal (M2S) Christmas Parcel campaign back in November! Our members sorted and packed the items and then took them to the M2S headquarters in Old Montreal on December 1st! Hundreds of cards were written as well by members to add to all of the parcels that were given out on the ship by M2S volunteers in December and January. What a blessing to be able to share some Christmas spirit with seafarers who are so far from their homes and families. Every parcel shows them that they are seen and loved.
