The challenge is meant to educate people about plastic pollution and how to be part of the solution by refusing single-use plastic items.

Sara and Aleks are back in our top 3, but we now have a new person to complete it this month: Kathryn! With 6 trees planted in May.

Sara was particularly on fire as she collected ALL trees available on Carbonii in May!

Our second impact report is now out!

Those are (currently) the main pillars of Carbonii! Everything we do is represented in this report.

Our target was to increase our metrics by 6.8% vs April 2022. Did we achieve it? Let’s find out together!.**

Trees - from 94 to 108 trees planted = +14%
Carbon offsets - from 9.6 to 13 tons offset = +39%
Workdays - from 1 to 1.6 workdays provided = +12%
Hours on Carbonii - From 21.6 hres to 29.4 hours = +36%
Creators fund - from $109 to $116 = +6%

We did it Carbonii folks!

And on top of that, we have donated $17 of behalf of our community to for World Bee Day!

**April’s numbers in the comparison only take into account the recurring statistics, excluding special events such as the launch campaigns.

Today is the last day to participate in our 21 days ‘til summer challenge! It will literally take you 5 minutes and 15 seconds to plant 21 trees and have a significant impact on the planet! But hurry up, because we are pulling down the posts today at midnight.

The results are in! On World Oceans day alone, we were able to avoid 20 pounds of plastic from reaching the oceans simply by having people show up on Carbonii for not even a minute!

What is the challenge about? To plant 21 trees in 21 days from June 1st to June 21st.

Now, it may seem a lot, but what if we told you that it will only take you 15 seconds to plant each tree? Why wouldn’t you try it, right?

And how does it work?
Each day (from June 1-June 21), we will release a new post on Carbonii in the cluster name “21 days ‘till summer”. And in less than 15 seconds you will be able to scroll through the post, claim the points related to it and plant one tree.

Researches state that you need to execute the action for 21 consecutive days if you want to form a new habit. This is no coincidence, we are doing this to help you incorporate Carbonii into your daily social media routine by maximizing the climate-positive impact of the time you spend on the platform.

And we might also have a surprise for anyone who plants all of the 21 trees made available for the challenge 👀!

It’s a small amount, but we’re happy to say that we are donating $17 on behalf of Carbonii’s community to @ the_bee_conservancy.

And we’re damn proud of that. Proud of the people who showed up and converted 4 minutes of their day into a dollar to support an organization that works on protecting bees. And even if it’s only a tiny amount, it proves to us that we are onto something; that we can convert the time we spend online into a tangible positive impact; that people are ready to make their time count for the planet.

We convert your time into trees, offer you the option to compensate for your carbon footprint with a paid monthly subscription, provide content from incredible eco-creators and share our revenues with them.

In one of our prior posts, we stated that in order to get global warming under control by 2030, we needed to reduce our global carbon footprint by 6.8% each year until then. How about we use that metric as a goal, but tweak it a little. Our goal is to grow our metrics by 6.8% each month.
People spent 21.3 hours on Carbonii this month? Let’s get to 23 next month! And then 25 the month after, etc.
