The BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit (MCU) are continuing to actively investigate the suspicious circumstances surrounding a homicide and vehicle fire that occurred on August 23, 2025, and are seeking witnesses or anyone with information to help advance the investigation.

At approximately 4:00 a.m., Kamloops RCMP responded to a vehicle fire on Tranquille-Criss Creek Road, where the body of 25-year-old Kamloops resident Dillen Bain was located deceased inside the vehicle 😞 The vehicle, a black 2019 Volkswagen Golf, is believed to have been intentionally set on fire along the service road. Prior to the fire, the vehicle was observed travelling within the North Shore area of Kamloops accompanied by a blue vehicle. Investigators are seeking information to help establish the circumstances leading up to Bain’s homicide.

▶️Investigators are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen the victim prior to the incident◀️

Quick update to all who submitted tips for this case, Amsterdam police officially announced on August 22, 2026, that DNA and investigative matches confirmed the man is NOT missing Canadian John Russell Kenny. I was quite upset that the press (And other pages) released his name as a comparison prior to DNA. This gives families false hope 😔

We have submitted many others. I will keep you updated. 🙏

She has her name back but someone Evil is still out there....😡
Police are asking anyone who saw Tammy Eileen Penner to come forward with information 🙏

▶️ Her remains were found under a Woods-brand sleeping bag at the rest area off Highway 7 between Guelph and Rockwood, Ontario on Aug. 28, 2005◀️

She was only known as "Rockwood Jane Doe" for years until August 2024 with sophisticated DNA testing by Texas forensic lab Othram uncovered Tammy's identity and she was originally from Chilliwack, BC❤️

The cause of death remains undetermined but is considered suspicious, Gaynor said. It appears that before her death, she had a broken left cheek, nose and left eye socket, which had healed 😔

It appeared she had been dragged a short distance into the woods about a month before the remains were found, police said. She wasn't carrying identification or wearing any jewelry but it's believed her clothing, a pair of black shorts, a beige tank top, white underwear and a peach-coloured bra, was purchased in the Montreal area.

▶️ During her journey from B.C., Penner visited Mountainview Mall in Midland, Ont., on Thursday, June 30, 2005, OPP said. On or around Saturday July 30, 2005, a transport truck driver may have dropped her off at a now-closed Husky Truck Stop on Highway 401 and Dixie Road in Mississauga.

"Tammy was seen near a cream- or beige-coloured transport truck shortly after being dropped off. She may have been wearing a beige tank top with black corduroy fabric shorts, carrying a blue sleeping bag," the release said ◀️

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen Penner during this time or has information about her movements back then to contact the Wellington County OPP at ☎️ 519.846.5930

Praying 🙏 Belleville Police have confirmed a deceased person was found in the Bay of Quinte on August 20, 2026 💔

Emergency Services recovered the remains. The investigation is continuing under the direction of the Chief Coroner’s Office with assistance from members of the Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigation Division.

Charles Horvath-Allan was a 20-year-old Canadian-born British national who vanished in May 1989 while backpacking across Canada. Last seen in Kelowna, British Columbia, his abandoned belongings were later found at a local campground. His case remains an open cold case with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Praying 🙏 Human Remains have been found in an empty building on Government road in Kirkland Lake, Ontario 💔

Police have not said how long the human remains are suspected to have been in the building, or whether foul play is suspected.

The investigation is being led by the Kirkland Lake OPP crime unit with help from OPP Forensic Identification Services and the Office of the Chief Coroner.

The OPP have identified Human Remains found in area of Boyne River in Alliston, Ontario on August 15, 2026 as 30 year old, Corey Szymanski who was last seen early July 😔

Foul play is not suspected.Police said that no further details will be released at this time.

Rest in peace now 🙏

My deepest condolences to his loved ones ✝️ Regina police have identified Human Remains found in the backyard of a home in the North Central neighbourhood in June, 2026 as Wayne Joseph Breed, who would be 34 if he was alive today 💔

Police had stated that the Remains had been there for more than 5 years 😞

Wayne was not listed in any missing person databases. As such, RPS investigators worked closely with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service to learn as much about the male as possible. Using this information, a request was made to the public to help identify the male. Information gathered from that appeal opened up further investigative avenues including a request for a DNA match through the national RCMP DNA database.

Rest in peace and may justice come swiftly 🙏

▶️Erin Brooks had been last seen by her family on December 24th, 2021, and her roommate on December 27th, 2021. Erin was observed later on that particular day at the St-Mary's Smoke Shop in Sitansisk (St-Mary's First Nation), New Brunswick...◀️

▶️Teri-Lynn Wilson was reported missing by her family on April 16th, 2023. Teri-Lynn was last seen on April 13th, 2023 at the Fredericton Inn on Regent Street in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Teri-Lynn's disappearance is thought to be suspicious and the consequence of foul play...◀️
