On March 25th, six unions banded together to refuse Concordia’s proposal to extend our 2023 Collective Agreements for two years without negotiations. The primary purpose of unions is collective bargaining, and we have no intention of forgoing that duty and privilege. CREW, CUSSU, CUUSS-TS, STTMC (SGW and Loyola), CULEU, and CUCEPTFU all have a shared interest in using our bargaining power to fight for better wages and working conditions.
In a collective letter to Concordia, we six CSN staff unions of Concordia encourage the administration to invest in what keeps this university running: the workers.
To celebrate our unity in labour, the unions are hosting a lunchtime social at the SGW Campus on June 2nd and Loyola Campus on June 9th to celebrate, meet, and get to know each other. Building solidarity across our unions means building bargaining power to achieve our common interests at the negotiation table.
