Dayna's Pet Services has been providing the best pet care in Ottawa and the surrounding area. Whether it is overnight care, dog walking, etc; they've got you covered!

They also aren't limited to just dogs and cats - services are also offered for reptiles, birds, etc.

Having been a volunteer herself with various rescues, Dayna wanted to create a way that would allow pets to feel welcome and cared for in their own familiar settings.

🐾 Thank You! 🐾

A big thank you to our long time supporters Rowena and Ian who had adopted sweet Crosby from us in 2014.

Crosby recently crossed the rainbow bridge so they wanted to donate a ramp (that they built themselves), dog beds and many other items to CDRO in his memory.

We can't thank them enough for the generosity during such a difficult time in their lives.

It goes without saying that we have the best community and couldn't do this without all of our wonderful supporters.

✨️ CDRO Alumni Spotlight ✨️

We are celebrating 25 years of rescuing weens and what better way to celebrate than by spotlighting our alumni!!

Here’s our take to sum up our beloved Crosby:

Clever, Curious and Courageous.
Resolute and radiant.
Obedient but at times Obstinate.
Sweet, but with a lot of Sass.
Brave, Bold, and very Bright.
Youthful and Yappy.

We adopted Crosby in 2014 from CDRO when he was 4 years old; the best decision we could have ever made, was in the 11.5 years of his life with us. He filled our home with unconditional love along with snuggles, kisses, belly rubs, burrowing under the sheets, sideward glances, and sad eyed yet soulful and expressive looks that could melt an iceberg, his tennis balls and toys which he most lovingly brought to you to play with him.

We will forever love, cherish his memory, and miss him.

Thank you CDRO for giving us the Best Boy in the house and the Cutest one on the Block.

Are you crafty? Do you own your own pawsome business? Perhaps you have the coolest Etsy shop around?

If so, we want you!!

Ottawa Wienerpawlooza is looking for vendors for this years BIG event happening June 20th at a new location - Cardinal Creek Community Park. Think giant market and BBQ picnic with a slew of dachshunds running about. It’s our most favourite thing ever!

Your offerings do not have to be dog or dachshund related. We love showcasing a variety of locally or provincially owned businesses and talent: clothes, candles, art, crocheting, macrame, fresh flowers, spices, nuts, leashes, treats, etc. Literally anything you can think of for our two-legged and four-legged friends. We are a more the merrier kind of crowd. Which explains how we all wound up with so many dachshunds 🤣

We are still selling tickets for one lucky person to win flight vouchers for one roundtrip flight for two guests to any regularly scheduled and marketed WestJet destination*!

Tickets are $20 each and 100% of the money raised will be going back to the weens in our care.

Come see us at the Midland Buttertart Festival on June 13th from 9am to 5pm! Our booth will be at a new location so scroll right to see where to find us!

Lots of merchandise will be available for purchase with proceeds going directly back to the dogs in our care. Volunteers will be on site to answer all your questions or to simply say hello.

✨️ CDRO Alumni Spotlight ✨️

We are celebrating 25 years of rescuing weens and what better way to celebrate than by spotlighting our alumni!!

Toby was our CDRO rescue in 2013.

It took him some time to understand that hands were for love but he became the most loving and cuddly of our crew. He was everyone's friend 🧡 

Unfortunately, he crossed the bridge in 2022 from cancer. We miss him dearly.
