Legendary beings from Anishinaabe stories and global mythologies in a breathtaking battle for the realm of dreams.
Set in a world where imagination shapes reality, Dream Catchers follows the Sandman, Spider woman, Morpheus, and Nanabush as they collide in a shifting dreamscape. When an imbalance threatens to unravel the boundary between waking and dreaming, these powerful figures must confront one another — and themselves — to restore harmony before the dream world fractures beyond repair.
Blending physical theatre, movement, and Debajehmujig’s signature storytelling style, Dream Catchers explores themes of creation, chaos, responsibility, and the unseen forces that guide human experience. Audiences will journey through surreal landscapes, encounter tricksters and weavers of fate, and witness a mythic struggle that is both ancient and urgently contemporary.

New on the blog: First Nation Issues in Canada — why these matters aren’t just history but shape daily life today. From housing and health to education and treaty rights, this post unpacks how colonial policies continue to affect First Nations and what it means for reconciliation. Read more: https://wix.to/vHEg1Ec

First Nation issues in Canada are often treated as problems of the past. Residential schools, land theft, and broken treaties are framed as history. But for First Nations, these are not distant events. They shape daily life through housing shortages, poor health outcomes, education gaps, and limited...

Repatriation Case Study 🪶 Tse'k'wa National Historic Site: Preserving Indigenous Heritage + Archaeological Treasures

Tse'k'wa is a National Historic Site located just north of Fort St. John, B.C.

It's also a beacon of Indigenous heritage, offering a window into the rich history of the Dane-zaa First Nations and the broader region.

The repatriation of a significant heritage site and cave occurred in 2012 when 3 Dane-zaa First Nations purchased the land where Tse’k’wa (formerly known as Charlie Lake Cave) is located. Doig River, Prophet River and West Moberly First Nations are focused on preserving and enhancing the site’s cultural significance. The establishment of a cultural centre, archives and conservation space is leading to more repatriation of Ancestors and Belongings.

Funding sources have included the Government of Canada, Government of British Columbia, Northern Development Initiative Trust, FPCC, Peace River Regional District, private donations, corporate support and project-based grants from organizations like the LawMatters Society.

🧡 July 1st — A Day for Reflection 🧡

While many celebrate Canada Day, we at Odawa Bound recognize this day as a moment to reflect.

We honour the land, the people, and the stories that came long before 1867 — stories that continue today through language, culture, and community.

This Canada Day, we walk gently.
We honour the ancestors.
We hold space for truth.

🪶 From Manitoulin Island — with love and resilience.
