Our Story
Medicine Hat Pride Association (MHPA) is an organization supporting the Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Tr*******al, Transgender, Intersex, Q***r, Questioning, 2-Spirit and Allied (hereafter referred to as LGBT) in Medicine Hat, Alberta and surrounding area. We are committed to promoting acceptance, equality, inclusion, education, outreach and a better understanding with the LGBT and heterosexual community within OUR COMMUNITY! MHPA utilizes the talents, vision and expertise of our community to produce our Annual Pride Festival and other public events. MHPA funding is derived from corporate & private donation & sponsorships from local & national businesses, as well as from Pride Festival Fees, food & beverage sales and admission charges from our events & fundraising activities throughout the year. These funds are used to facilitate collaboration in an effort to stop discrimination and encourage equality for everyone. There are many members in our community who can be found out and about on a regular basis, celebrating our diversity and unity with the public.
