Part two of our Robots@Mary Ward recap. This was our first event with not just one, but two robots. Competing as 9992, our 2025 World Championship-competing bot took to the field with a brand new drive team, fighting all the way to finals!

Special thanks to our Day 1 alliance partners, and and our Day 2 alliance partners and for being incredible teammates.

Thank you to the event hosts .robotics and .

This was our 2025 season robot’s final event, as it is being succeeded by our new offseason bot, which takes to the stage at the STEMley Cup Championship on November 1st!

(This post was long overdue, but the business lead was being funny.)

Attention Educators: Free Hands-On Machine Shop Upskilling Workshops Across Ontario 🔧

Want to build confidence in the shop? Join us for a FREE one- or two-day workshop designed for Grade 7–12 teachers, TAS10/2O teachers, and FIRST Robotics team teacher mentors.

To help offset supply teacher costs, FIRST Robotics Canada will reimburse your school or school board $150 per day for each attending teacher. Reimbursement is provided after attendance.

What you’ll learn:
Shop safety practices and procedures
Beginner machining techniques
Hands-on training with tools like band saws, lathes, mills, and drill presses
Build your own custom project in a supportive, informal environment — no prior experience required!

📍 These workshops are delivered in partnership with skilled trades professionals and post-secondary institutions. Sessions are available across Ontario, including Mississauga, North Bay, Whitby, Toronto, Brampton, Kitchener, Oakville & more.

Please note: These are not official certifications or formal training programs. They are free, informal upskilling opportunities to help teachers build familiarity and confidence in the machine shop. Each workshop is unique and may vary depending on the hosting location’s facilities and resources.

👉 Space is limited! Register today: www.firstroboticscanada.org/teacherupskillingworkshops
