100 Women x $100 = $10,000 donated locally. 100+ Women Who Care London and Area is one of a growing number of Canadian 100 Women Who Care groups. The concept is simple. It's a grassroots mobilization of fundraising for a community focused impact ...a perfect "win-win-win" solution:
- for the busy woman who wants to be part of a community of women making
a direct donation to a local cause
- for the receiving charitable organization to continue their excellent and much needed work
- for the local London community to benefit from the impact and support of 100+ Women Who Care
The methodology is beautiful in it's simplicity: 1 hour of your time, 4 times a year and a $100 donation to the one of two charitable organizations - nominated by our members - at each of the 4 meetings. How does it work?
1. We gather at a central location; register our attendence and gather our name tags.
2. We listen to a 5 minute presentation from 2 different charitable organizations and, if necessary, we ask questions for 5 minutes.
3. We vote individually for the charity that will recieve the collective group's donation that night. The charity with the highest number of votes receives the entire collective donation that evening.
4. Individually we make our donation on line to the recieving charity.
5. After each individual has completed their $100 donation, the meeting is over. All name tags are turned in at the door to ready for the next meeting.
6 - Approximately 3-4 weeks before the next meeting, we will call out for nominations for the charity of your choice. All the nominations will be vetted and two charities will be randomly selected to present at the next meeting.
7 - The names of the charities will be sent to all members in good standing prior to the next meeting and the email will contain the donation link for the charities. Our Ask: You commit to supporting 4 one-hour meetings in one year. You will donate $100 at each meeting - income tax receipts will be available. We Promise: We will only send you emails to let you know when and where the next meeting will be held and the charitable organizations we will be meeting. We will not share your email address. We will not inundate you with messages. We know you are busy women. To become a member please contact us by emailing us at: [email protected]. Please provide your name and email address.
