Today, members of Clan Hunter proudly took part in the Edinburgh Tartan Parade, with the Chief of Clan Hunter leading our presence through the streets of Scotland’s capital alongside clans, pipe bands, societies, and supporters of Scottish heritage from around the world.

The parade was a powerful celebration of Scotland’s culture, identity, and traditions, and it was an honour to see the Hunter tartan worn and the Clan flag carried with pride through Edinburgh among so many historic names and organisations.

Events like this are a reminder that clan culture is not just about history. It is a living tradition, strengthened by the people who continue to represent it today, both at home and across the global Scottish community.

A sincere thank you to everyone who marched, supported, and helped make the day such a success.

No matter where Hunters gather, the spirit of the Clan continues to stand proud.

The Clan Hunter crest is rich with Scottish history and symbolism. Featuring the hunting hound and the Hunter clan motto, “Cursum Perficio” (I accomplish the course), it reflects perseverance, loyalty, and a legacy that has endured for generations.

From heraldry and tartan to the story of Hunterston Castle, these symbols connect us to our Clan Hunter heritage. Does this motto of “getting the job done” resonate with you? Let us know in the comments!

You might be a Hunter if you know exactly where this beautiful drive leads…all the way to Hunterston Castle, the ancestral home of Clan Hunter. For generations, this has stood at the heart of the clan’s story, and there’s something special about seeing that familiar drive and feeling the connection to history, heritage and home.
If you know this road, you know the feeling. 💙

🌿 Visit Clan Hunter Canada this spring and summer! 🌿

We’re excited to share that we’ll have representation at several Highland Games this year.

🎉 What are Highland Games?
Highland Games are traditional Scottish events that celebrate culture, sport, music, and community. They often feature athletic competitions like caber tossing, stone put, hammer throw, and tug-of-war, along with pipe bands, dancing, clan tents, food, and artisan vendors. Today, they’re a fun and entertaining way to gather, share heritage, and celebrate Scottish identity.

🏴 Why go?
It’s a fantastic way to enjoy Scottish culture, meet new people, and experience the energy of the Games firsthand.

📍 Where to find us:
Victoria, BC — May 16–17
Kingsville, ON — June 27
Embro, ON — July 1
Fergus, ON — Aug. 7–9

If you’d like to see Clan Hunter at an event near you and can help host a tent, please reach out to Dale Hill — we’d love to have you on board!

The thistle has been Scotland’s symbol for more than 500 years, making it the world’s earliest recorded national flower. While Canada doesn't have an official flower itself, each province and territory have their own. Do you know yours?
