The Fibromyalgia London Group [Fibro London or FLG] is a community-based, volunteer-driven, self-help and wellness support Group which offers positive moral support, encouragement, education and information for those affected by Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS/FM) and its related symptoms or conditions. The Group demonstrates this by embracing and demonstrating its philosophy and culture of “
Supporting Ourselves by Helping Others”. Established in November 2014, Fibro London welcomes individuals suffering from Fibromyalgia who live in London, St. Thomas and Middlesex County, including their family members, friends and supporters, to participate in our Group activities and bi-monthly meetings, where we share and exchange information on Fibromyalgia and its related conditions/
syndromes. This includes coping strategies, healing practices, living a healthy lifestyle, diet and nutrition, services and programs, and alternative treatments. We also welcome those suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME) and other chronic pain conditions, as many topics we discuss apply to these conditions as well. Fibro London prides itself in being inclusive and thus welcomes into its membership, individuals of all ages, irrespective of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, and socio-economic standing. Please note that The Fibromyalgia London Group is not a therapy session; a place to bash or condemn a doctor or practitioner; and is not in the business of either diagnosing or verifying a diagnosis for Fibromyalgia and its symptoms. OUR VISION:
To become a respected community support group; reliable resource and referral base for health and wellness information on Fibromyalgia; and strong network of connections for individuals living with Fibromyalgia, and their families and friends, which actively strives to raise the level of public awareness and education on Fibromyalgia; advocates for increased accessibility to community/government funding, resources, and services for coping with symptoms; and unites Londoners with Fibromyalgia to become a strong voice for better recognition and validation of our invisible illness.
