Fast action this morning!!! Called this guy from 300 to ten yards!!! Great finish to an incredible spring Turkey season

The morning started slow so I switched properties to try my luck elsewhere. I spotted a bachelor group in the neighbours field and made a quick setup with a lone hen decoy tucked in a low spot. I made a few yelps from her location and settled next to a tree 30 yards away and scratched the leaves. I didn’t know if they heard my calls with all this wind but within 15 minutes, all 5 crossed the fence within 10 yards of me and made their way to the decoy. I lined up the shot on the lead bird with the longest beard but had to switch to the last one in the line after the rest crowded together. After a close call and a lost opportunity earlier in the season I was taking no chances. I slowly put the bead on this bird and it was lights out. My heart was racing a mile a minute. It’s amazing how fast things can change. I’m very grateful for the opportunity and look forward to tomorrow morning. Good luck and happy hunting!

Always glad to help a fellow outdoorsman!!
This morning we had a tom hammering and crossing the neighbouring field,,,, then boom boom boom!!! Someone else shot it. We named him “Coattails”
