The Leduc RCMP and Leduc Rural Crime Watch are partnering to help residents prevent plate theft by offering tamper-resistant license plate screw installations. Stolen license plates are frequently used in criminal activity. These specialized screws provide a simple, effective way to secure your vehicle and assist in local crime prevention. The event date is:

🚓 Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

This will take place at Leduc RCMP detachment west parking lot, located at #1- 4119 50 Street Leduc. The event is weather permitting.

This event is open to anyone interested. There is no cost and participants will get instructions on how to replace the screw if they sell their vehicle.

"This initiative is a practical step toward community safety," says Inspector Kiel Samotej. "By securing your plate, you help make our streets harder for criminals to navigate."
