We’re getting ready for another great season of curling in Lacombe! Check out this year’s bonspiel posters and save the dates. 📅

Here’s what’s coming up:

🍂 Autumn Open — October 24, 2026
🔸Seniors Bonspiel — November 16–20, 2026
🥌 Mixed Bonspiel — November 27–29, 2026
🌾 Farmers & Farmerettes Bonspiel — January 11–16, 2027
💗 Ladies Bonspiel — February 5–7, 2027
🔵Men’s Bonspiel — February 19–21, 2027
🥌 Sturling — March 13, 2027

More details will be coming soon! Our organizers are enjoying the last bit of summer before getting back into curling mode, so keep an eye on our website for registration details, entry fees and more. 😉

🥌 AUTUMN OPEN — ONE DAY BONSPIEL! 🍂

Harvest season can be a busy one, so why not take a break, hit the ice, and enjoy a day of curling with us!

💰 $200/team
🥌 Open format — all ages, genders, team combinations and skill levels welcome!

Whether you’re a seasoned curler or just looking for a fun day on the ice, come out for a relaxed bonspiel and ease into the curling season.

We’ll have snacks, a meal, and lots of fun throughout the day. Hopefully by then, harvest is wrapped up and it’s time to celebrate! 🌾🍂🥌

🥌 Build Your Skills This Fall!

Whether you’re new to curling or looking to take your game to the next level, our 6-Week Learn to Curl & Grow Your Skills Program is a great way to improve your game and build confidence on the ice.

📆 6-week program

Each week you’ll work on different aspects of the game, including delivery, sweeping, strategy, and more—all in a fun, supportive environment.

This program is perfect for beginners, newer curlers, or anyone looking to sharpen their skills before the season gets into full swing.

No team? No problem!

If you’re an individual looking to get on the ice this season, we’d love to help. Contact the Lacombe Curling Club and we’ll do our best to match you with a team that’s looking for players.

Not ready to commit to a full season? Join our spare list and get called when teams need an extra player. It’s a great way to meet new people, gain experience, and enjoy the game without a weekly commitment.

🥌 TRY CURLING FOR FREE THIS OCTOBER!

Have you ever wanted to give curling a try? Now’s your chance! Join us for one of our FREE Learn to Curl sessions and see what the sport is all about.

📅 Wednesday, October 7 | 7 PM
🥌 Learn to Curl
Perfect for anyone who wants to get out on the ice, learn the basics, and give curling a try. No experience necessary!

📅 Thursday, October 8 | 7 PM
🥌 Learn to Curl – Stick Curling
Want to try curling without sliding? Come give stick curling a try! This session is open to adults of all ages and abilities.

👟 What to bring: Clean running shoes and comfortable clothing. If you have your own broom or slider, bring them along, but we can provide equipment if you don’t have your own.

Registration is encouraged! Drop-ins are welcome, but please arrive a little early if you’re dropping in.

It’s time to sign up for the 2026–2027 curling season at the Lacombe Curling Club!

Registration is now available on our website and is easier to find this year. We’re also adding a few more details and updates to the site over the coming days, so keep checking back as we put the finishing touches on everything.

Whether you’re returning to your favourite league or trying curling for the first time, we’d love to have you join us this season!

🥌 Our 2026–2027 Bonspiel Lineup is Here! 🥌

We’re excited to share this season’s lineup of bonspiels at the Lacombe Curling Club!

A few updates for this season:

🍂 Autumn Open Bonspiel – Formerly our Halloween One-Day Bonspiel, this event has a new name and a new weekend but keeps the same fun one-day format! Open to all ages, genders, and skill levels, it’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate the end of harvest—or take a break from the harvest rush and enjoy a day on the ice.

❤️ Tough as S*t Open Bonspiel – Hosted by the Wyatt family in support of endometriosis research, this open bonspiel welcomes teams of any combination of genders and skill levels. Registration for this event is handled directly by the organizers. To enter or learn more, email [email protected].

📅 Mixed Bonspiel Update – Our Mixed Bonspiel has moved to a new date this season, so be sure to check the schedule.

Registration for all Lacombe Curling Club bonspiels (except the Tough as S*t Open Bonspiel) is available at lacombecurling.com.

We have something for everyone this season—from fun one-day events to weekend bonspiels. Gather your team and we’ll see you on the ice! 🥌

Whether you’re brand new to curling or have been playing for years, there’s a place for you at the Lacombe Curling Club! We offer a variety of leagues for all skill levels, so there’s something to fit every schedule and style of play.

📣 Volunteers Wanted – Mixed Bonspiel Committee

We’re looking for volunteers to help organize and run our 2026 Mixed Bonspiel, taking place November 27–29, 2026.

A huge thank you to Chris and Brit for creating such a fun and successful event over the past few years. Their hard work has made this bonspiel a favourite on our calendar, and we’re so grateful for everything they’ve done. As they step back, we’re looking for a new committee to carry on the tradition.

If you’ve ever wanted to get more involved with the club, this is a great opportunity! Whether you have lots of experience or are just interested in helping out, we’d love to hear from you.
