We are saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Graeme Rice.

Graeme was a longtime member of the Lacombe Curling Club and a past president. He was heavily involved in organizing the Farmers & Farmerettes Bonspiel, and was always someone who stepped up whenever help was needed. Graeme will be remembered as one of the kindest people around the club — someone who gave his time and support to make our community better.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

Under the ‘Rules of Curling’ Section 4 there is an addendum:

4.1.f. Teams may now sweep opponent stones anywhere past the hogline, not just behind the tee-line.

A season full of great curling and even better community 💙

This year, we were proud to host an incredible lineup of bonspiels, from Halloween and Junior events to Ladies, Men’s, Mixed, Seniors, Sturling, Farmers and Farmerettes. Each one brought its own energy, competition, and fun to the club.
