Packing up supplies to go in the libraries!
Real talk, it's been a bumpy road for the Period Equity Project KWC lately. Social Media Posts, pick ups and period drives have slowed and my personal capacity (Tor- the Coordinator for this region) to put the same resources I once was able to into the project has been greatly reduced.
I'm gonna overshare for a minute and ask for support in the same breath. The need is great and it's been beautiful to witness community helping community here and with a little support I believe we can get back to a good flow🩸
In the past year I went through a separation from a ten year relationship, my dad passed away and I moved twice and those are just some of the big ones. My family has had a lot to adjust to. I still BELIEVE in this project and want to come back strong, while allowing myself some grace and space to grow it back from my new normal.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
The Period Libraries are still active and will become more active again as I am able to go fill it more frequently again! 289 Guelph Street and 315 Vanier Drive, both in Kitchener. We would humbly accept and appreciate donations at either location. PMing the page to arrange is also welcome anytime!
Donations can also be made through our Amazon registry (link in the bio) or have donations shipped right to the library locations on Guelph Street library or our Vanier library which our volunteer Ashley Reed-Bennett runs! Thank you so much!
And please share our posts and talk about our program so more folks can get access to the period products they need!
