Chief and Council want to share as much information as possible to ensure our Members, both on and off reserve, have the opportunity to understand the 10 referendum questions and what they could mean for our Nation, our Treaty rights, and our future generations.

Swan River First Nation invites all community members to attend an upcoming presentation hosted by the Missing Children’s Society of Canada.

📅 Date: Tuesday, October 27, 2026
⏰ Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
📍 Location: SRFN School Gym

The presentation will provide information about the RESCU App and its alerting system, including:

An overview of the RESCU App

How the alerting system works

Its role in helping locate missing children

How our community can get involved and stay informed

🎁 Door prizes will be available!
🍽️ Supper will be provided.

We encourage all community members to attend, learn more about this important resource, and discover how we can work together to help keep our children safe.

INDIAN HOSPITALS & INDIAN BOARDING HOMES CLASS ACTION – OCTOBER 2026

Swan River First Nation is sharing information for members regarding upcoming visits from William James Legal Services, a law firm identified by LSLIRC to assist eligible First Nations members with preparing claims for the Indian Boarding Homes Category 2 Class Action and/or the Federal Indian Hospitals Class Action.

These services are provided free of charge. Claimants will not be charged.

If you are planning to vote ON-RESERVE on October 19th, please get your Attestation Form completed IN ADVANCE at the Band Office. ✅

⚠️ DO NOT WAIT UNTIL VOTING DAY!
Your completed Attestation Form will include your ON-RESERVE address and you will need to bring this form with you to the polling station at the Band Hall.
