Today in Kingston!

TODAY: Join True North Aid at one of 4 Reconciliation Walk locations: 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗵, 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼, 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻, 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘃𝗶𝗹𝐥𝐥𝐞.

See our Reconciliation Walk webpage for locations and times.

At each location, walk a path marked by orange t-shirts, and follow a timeline of residential school history presented in reading stations along the way. This self-guided walk takes approximately 45mins – 1.5 hours to complete.

Reflect and learn about the history of residential school and the harmful systems that were implemented by the government to destroy Indigenous culture and assimilate Indigenous people into colonial practices.

In the spirit of reconciliation and the TRC’s (Truth and Reconciliation Commission) Calls to Action, True North Aid and our partnering hosts have kept this a 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁.

*Parking fees at some locations may apply. https://truenorthaid.ca/project/reconciliation-walk/
