It was nice to get out to the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership AGM this morning.

They help drive development throughout the county and it’s these types of partners that we need to work more closely with in St. Clair Township.

It was good to hear from the Honourable Sam Oosterhoff, the Associate Minister of Energy-Intensive Industries. He spoke about Ontario’s long- term, 25 year energy plan. One that’s based on a holistic approach rather than one based on an election term.

He started to explain some of the reasoning energy projects like those submitted by companies in St. Clair may be chosen. I had to leave before he fully answered so I will look into this.

As a former Community Board Member, I gained a better appreciation all that SLEP does.

I’m a little late with my weekly video but I’ve been recovering from some surgery.

Another week taking it easy (that’s really hard for me!) and I’ll be back, good as new.

There’s plenty to do tomorrow from the north side to the south of St. Clair Township.

If you’ve never been to the Aamjiwnaang Pow Wow, it’s a fabulous experience. Be sure to see the grand entry at noon.

The Sombra Township Optimist Club Car Show has been a tradition at Brander Park for many years with plenty of cars to dream about owning.

Captain Kidd Days sponsored youth event at Sticks and Stones in Corunna looks like a lot of fun.

We have so much potential here in St. Clair Township an it’s disappointing to see us passed by for these proposals.

It’s projects like these that are important not only our local economy, but to the security of our electricity supply in the future.
