Christmas in King is powered by an extraordinary group of volunteers, including:
▪️ Leona Zadoyko, Hamper Coordinator and Nobleton Liaison
▪️ Patti Skrypek, Shopping Volunteer Coordinator, and her team of 12
▪️Karen Marshall, Registrar and Coordinator of the “South North Pole,” with support from Chris Somerville and Sue Delaney
▪️Bonnie Mooney, Turkey Coordinator
▪️Anne Campbell, King City Liaison
▪️Pat Johnston, Kettleby Liaison
▪️Lina D’Onofrio and Mary Benvenuto, who led the collection of 150 specified gifts at St. Mary’s
▪️Tonnes (literally) of pickups and deliveries by Bill Peel and Lianne Unwin, along with Shervin Baghani, Jennifer Somerville, Ajit and Kay Dhamrait, Dennis Mooney, and the Kokelj Wreath Delivery Team
▪️Melissa Jurik, who led the effort to provide hampers and gifts from The Well congregation
▪️Kathy Patterson, who coordinated hamper donations at St. Andrew’s
▪️Geoff Simpson, volunteer website support
▪️Filomena Mazzuca, Instagram & Facebook communications
And the many “day-of” volunteers whose willing hands and smiling faces made distribution days joyful and welcoming.

As coordinator of this project, it’s an honour to be associated with this amazing group. My deepest wish is that we will all assemble to do it again in 2026.

Christmas in King extends heartfelt thanks to the churches who welcomed us with open doors, generous space, and smiling volunteers:
⛪️St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Nobleton
⛪️York Pines United Church, Kettleby
⛪️St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, King City
⛪️The Well, King City
These locations provided storage and space for distributing gifts, hampers, grocery cards, turkeys, and wreaths — helping make the season brighter for more than 450 adults and children.

St. Mary’s Mission
Huge thanks for an incredible outpouring of generosity, with the congregation shopping for and donating 150 gifts — all items specially requested for children and youth aged 18 and under.

King Fire and Emergency Services
With thanks to Chief Allen for a seamless transition of valuable support, and to King City District Chief Wootton for prompt and frequent deliveries of toys to the South North Pole in Pottageville.

Best Moms and Hampers
Jennifer Bianco and Carol Cofini coordinated the donation of 100 hampers of all sizes from friends and family — a significant undertaking that was deeply appreciated by CiK.

Township of King
Christmas in King is grateful for the use of the Pavilion over many years. It becomes our North Pole substation for two months each season — secure (no worry about theft), warm (thank you!), well-maintained, and staff even plow the snow to ensure access.

King Learning Centre and the D’Souza-Moraes Family
Thank you for the annual Poinsettia Sale fundraiser. For eight years, this initiative has raised funds supporting Christmas assistance in King.
Simcoe Emergency Restoration Inc.
With thanks for the generous cheque that helped cover the cost of turkeys.

Brookdale Tree Nurseries BTN
Thank you for the amazing wreaths. Hundreds of fresh green wreaths have brought the scent of Christmas to doors and tables all across King for many years, even as the number of families served continues to grow.

King Chamber of Commerce
Christmas in King celebrates and thanks the King Chamber, its members, and sponsors for many years of Christmas Luncheons, providing thousands of gifts to delight children across King Township.

Nobleton Lions
Nobleton Lions have supported Nobleton Christmas that folded into Christmas in King not only with funds, but with ‘active service’ for decades, pitching in to do whatever needs doing.

Nobleton United Church
Thank you once again for the proceeds from Breakfast with Santa — a wonderful event that puts smiles on faces twice over.

Sherwood Farm Retreat
Thank you for a generous cheque, which has become an annual tradition of support.

King Rebellion U13 AA & U10 AA

Thank You for Making Christmas in King Possible Every hamper, gift, and dollar used by Christmas in King comes from people living and working in King Township. When we say we couldn’t do it without you — we truly mean it. Because of your generosity, hundreds of adults and children across King experienced warmth, dignity, and care during the holiday season.

Huge thanks to the King Chamber of Commerce and everyone who came out and donated toys at its Holiday Lunch & Toy Drive at the Kingbridge Centre. Special thanks to the King Fire and Emergency Services staff who delivered all the gifts to Christmas in King’s holiday headquarters. The generosity shown today is a beautiful reminder of the kindness that lives in our community!
