Not often the social media girl calls in the fire! I snapped a quick pic to show just one patch of the three that could have been a lot worse with the dry grass! Thankfully me and some other people that pulled over had lots of water in our vehicles ! Fire department heading there now to make sure it’s all out

🚒 SEPTEMBER 11, 2001
NEVER FORGET 🖤

For those of us who wear the badge, September 11th is more than a date on the calendar.

It is a reminder of the courage it takes to answer a call when you don’t know what waits on the other side of the door.

On that morning, 343 firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice. They climbed the stairs of the World Trade Center knowing there was danger ahead, while thousands of others were trying to get out.

They didn’t turn around.

They went in.

They went in because they were firefighters. Because someone needed help. Because answering the call meant putting others before themselves.

Their sacrifice changed the fire service forever and left a mark that will never fade.

Today, the Killaloe Hagarty & Richards Fire Department remembers the 343, the law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, and every innocent life lost that day. We remember their families, their brothers and sisters in the fire service, and all those who continue to carry the weight of September 11th.

We stand together with departments across the country and around the world in honouring those who gave everything.

We remember their names.
We remember their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.

And to the 343 who answered their final call:

Your shift may have ended, but your service never will.

🚒 I’m still here! 🚒

Okay… I’ll admit it , I’ve been slacking a little on keeping up with the page lately! 😂 Between getting my daughter ready for heading back to school, working my other full time job, and trying to keep up with everything else life throws at you, social media has definitely taken a back seat.

But don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you! ❤️ I’m going to do my best to get back on track with keeping everyone updated on what’s happening around the department.

Thanks for sticking with us, and as always, thank you for supporting your local firefighters!
