BC Bridlehorse Heritage Association

The BC Bridlehorse Heritage Association is dedicated to preserving and promoting the intricate craft of developing fine bridled stock horses and the traditional working gear we use while creating an inclusive, supportive community here in BC Bridlehorse Heritage Association is a newly established, nonprofit association recognized by the province of British Columbia dedicated to bringing the bridle

horse community together in B.C. Our mission is to preserve and promote the intricate craft of developing the fine bridled stock horse and traditional working gear we use while creating an inclusive and supportive community of horsemen and women in B.C. We will do this through supporting & promoting:

- Bridlehorse/Stockhorse trainers/educators
- Bridlehorse related events and educational opportunities
- Traditional Gear Makers
- Breeders of good working stockhorses
- Producers of related Art & Music

Through the preservation and promotion of these traditional methods, we strive to motivate others to learn and use these effective, respectful ways to work with both horses and cattle, making the mental and physical wellbeing of the horses and livestock a priority and we will work to connect those who wan to learn with those who have a passion for sharing.

Yesterdays Youth become tomorrow's Pros... 🥹

We are so excited to see the enthusiasm and the passion for these bridlehorse traditions being nurtured and shared at events like Art of the Bridlehorse as well as many other workshops and clinics throughout B.C.

Pictured here is Caleb Knoll hard at work this spring at Douglas Lake Ranch. It wasn't too long ago that Caleb was competing as a Youth rider, getting support and guidance from the Pros and now here he is, showing us all how it's done, like a boss!

We are so grateful for ALL our riders at Art of the Bridlehorse but our Pros are invaluable in helping to support and guide those who are still learning. 🙏 Thank you to all the working cowboys for helping to keep these traditions alive and to those who help support events like Art of the Bridlehorse, we are incredibly appreciative of your participation!

Spots are filling up fast for this years event in Barriere! It's going to be a great show. If you haven't registered yet, what are you waiting for?
