Meet Doreen, our Learn On program facilitator. Doreen has been working with our youth in a variety of ways in this program! From leading employment-readiness workshops and academic support to organizing activities with Kamloops Pride and a local yoga instructor, Doreen has been behind the scenes, ensuring our youth have fun while developing life skills.

Today, we are talking about our Youth Necessity Nook, which provides youth with a customized food and hygiene hamper per week. The Nook is currently averaging 115 hampers per month to youth in our community. Talk about impact!

The Nook program really came to life during the pandemic as youth turned to us for support to keep them healthy and safe. Now, more than 6 years later, we continue to support local youth with food and hygiene hampers, growing from 10 hampers per month to 115!
