Congratulations to Walker who won 1st Place and caught his first ever fish at “Float with Us for Autism” Fishing Derby! Congratulations to Hunter who took 2nd and Jaxon who took 3rd. Mother Nature didn’t cooperate but we still managed to raise $5761.00! Many thanks to our amazing Iroquois Legion who saved the day! We truly are blessed to live in such an amazing community. Many thanks to all of the vendors who managed to attend at the last minute, our wonderful sponsors and supporters, our wonderful volunteers and committee members, our creative cardboard boat contestants and especially our amazing crowd pleasers, Healy and Orr! This years 1st Place winners was IMSAR again for the second year in a row! The Titanic Award (most dramatic sinking) went to Morrisburg Giant Tiger and the People’s Whsle of a Choice went to ZR Waste Removal. Congratulations to all of the teams. Our Top Pledge Award went to Team IMSAR who raised $1975 and second place went Team Holmes who raised $1000. Big shout out to Craig Packaging Ltd. for supplying cardboard. Congratulations to Terry Muir who won the 50/50 Draw and picked up a cheque for $1025 and to Octavia who won the gift basket for guessing the closest number of river stones. Don’t forget the Kid’s Free Fishing Derby has been rescheduled for this coming Saturday, August 29th at the Galop Canal Landing Marina from 10am to 2pm. Spread the word!
