I’d like to share some great news with everyone. At our recent Executive Committee meeting, our Treasurer Margaret Dollar reported that we made $1633.25 between our Bake Sale & the money made on the Kitchen Sales at the Legion Spring Craft & Vendor Market on Saturday March 28th. We also raised $566.00 from our pie sales. So the total amount made that day was an awesome $2199.25.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers & to everyone who supported us by purchasing something from our bake table or from the kitchen. ❤️😀

We’re happy to report that last week volunteers were able make more Chicken Pot Pies, Roast Beef Pot Pies, Bumbleberry & Raisin Pies for our freezer at Fairvern. We do have plans to make some other varieties of fruit pies in another week or so. Please stay tuned.

I am so happy to announce that at our Executive Committee Meeting this morning, our Treasurer’s report informed us that we raised a total of $2199.25 at the recent Huntsville Legion Spring Craft & Vendor Market.

A huge thank you to all who donated to our Bake Table, to those who attended our booth to buy some home baking or purchase some food or beverages from the kitchen.

I’d also like to thank Scott & Amanda of Muskoka Clean Water, Jo Ann Cryderman & Debbie Mowat for their generous donations to help us cover the cost of our groceries for this event. 🙏

Also, a big shoutout to our wonderful volunteers who always show up to help at these events to make them so successful. ❤️❤️

The winner of our Easter Bunny Basket Draw worth over $100.00 was Kelly Beach a volunteer with Muskoka Seniors. Kelly attended Saturday’s Legion Craft Market as a vendor selling new & used jewelry that had been donated to the Muskoka Seniors to assist them in their efforts to raise money for their organization.
A big Thank You goes to Marg Dollar for putting the Easter Bunny Basket together. It was so cute!

We are very pleased with the success of the fundraiser we held at the Huntsville Legion’s Craft Market on Saturday. The amount raised is still being tabulated from the Bake Sale & out Kitchen food sales so we will provide that information as soon as it’s available.
In the meantime enjoy some photos taken at the event.
We sold out of all of our frozen pies & tarts that we took to the Legion so unfortunately our freezer at Fairvern is practically empty. I think we still have a couple of Apple pies & 2 boxes of Mincemeat Tarts available. Stay tuned though as we plan to make some more pies & tarts later in April. Thank you again to those volunteers who provided baking for our Bake Sale, those of you who supported us by coming by & purchasing some of our baking &\or who ordered food from the kitchen.

Well, the pie making volunteers were hard at it again this morning. Our freezer is fully stocked with the following:
Butter tarts
Toutiere
Chicken Pot Pies
Roast Beef Pot Pies
Apple. Raisin, Raspberry, Rhubarb, Bumbleberry, Pumpkin Cream, & Strawberry/Rhubarb pies.

We will be taking a selection of our frozen pies & tarts to the upcoming Huntsville Legion’s Craft & Vendor Market on Saturday March 28th.
If you can’t make it into Fairvern to pick up some baking, come see us at the Legion Market. We’ll be happy to help you make your selection.

The Friends of Fairvern will be participating once again in the upcoming Spring Craft & Vendor Market being held at the Huntsville Royal Canadian Legion on Saturday March 28th from 9:00 am - 4:00pm by holding another Bake & Craft Sale.
If you would like to help by donating some of your crafts or by contributing some baked goods, you’re welcome to drop them off at our booth upstairs at the Legion on Friday March 27th between 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm or on Saturday morning.

Our volunteers will also be manning the Legion’s kitchen that day and offering some delicious breakfast & lunch items. Come on by & say hello & maybe have a bite or two.
