Pathway to the Park – 2024 Milestones & Excitement for 2025! 🏔️🚴♂️
As we reflect on 2024, we’re proud of the progress made toward bringing the Pathway to the Park vision to life! From trail planning to fund development, every step has brought us closer to making this project a reality.
✅ January – December 2024:
The Government of Alberta Forestry & Parks led the P2P Trail Design team in developing a Trail Management Plan, ensuring all necessary steps for approval are in place.
✅ February – April 2024:
Our Fund Development Sub-Committee was established to build a strategy for securing funding and recognizing our incredible donors. Team members received training from expert consultants, and we finalized a Donor Recognition Program & Plan, including a preview of a donor recognition website—ready to launch once the Trail Management Plan is approved!
✅ March – June 2024:
We created Case for Support brochures to engage major donors and build momentum for funding.
✅ August – October 2024:
An Economic Impact Assessment was commissioned to strengthen large donor grant applications and advance our fundraising goals.
⛰️ Looking Ahead to 2025!
With these foundations in place, we’re excited to push forward in 2025—working toward government approvals, funding milestones, and bringing this pathway one step closer to reality.
