Freeman of the land/Sovereign Citizen – the Fraud, the Scam, the Harm



As of late I have been receiving a number of emails, calls, etc., about the “free-man-of-the-land” and “sovereign citizen” movement. All I can say is that this is a scam. The latest is, those promoting this movement are, using the “Statute Law Revision Act” (SLRA) of 1893 and are saying that our Nation is a “scam.”



Apparently, they are attempting to destroy our constitution by saying that Queen Victoria “repealed” the “British North America Act, 1867” (BNA) because the “enacting clause,” of the BNA, was repealed in the SLRA. The BNA/Constitution was not, as there was a proclamation,[1] by Queen Victoria, enacted on May 22, 1867. These people are making completely false statements trying to support their egregious movement and are harming Canadians.



Firstly, yes you must pay your property taxes and other taxes. Your property taxes pay for services rendered. This includes road maintenance, town halls, jails, schools, etc. You all need to understand that if you do not support these services, through your taxes, you must do mandatory labor. Yes, you must go out and clear the road in front of your property; you must ensure there are no pot-holes; you must ensure you are doing all the maintenance on your section of that road. This is merely an example of why you must pay taxes.



Natural resources can only fund so much through the royalties into the Consolidated Revenue Fund. If you are upset, about the amount of taxes you are paying, you need to communicate that to your elected officials and tell them they need to get the costs of government under control. That is also why there are elections and it is democracy that is used to control the amount of taxes, amongst other issues. Really, it’s up to you but only if you exercise your rights.



Secondly, you must have a driver’s license. You are paying your toll for the use of the road. This goes back pre-Magna Carta and anyone who says you do not need a driver’s license is misleading you into committing a violation of the law and a violation of the constitution.



Thirdly, and for the life of me I cannot understand how anyone can say they don’t have to pay their mortgage. If you go to any financial institution, or to anyone, to obtain a loan and then decide you don’t have to pay that loan back, you are committing fraud and theft. How nonsensical is anyone, who thinks they can borrow money at a minimal interest rate and then decide they don’t have to pay it back? What happens if someone borrows money from them and then decides not to pay it back? What are people thinking?



Fourthly, birth certificates. Wow, I’ve heard enough about this to sink a ship. No, you are not being incorporated. Some will have capital letters, some will not. It all depends on when you were born and whether or not the person typing out the certificate has the caps-lock on. What are birth certificates, you might ask, and why do we have them? They are part of the census. This gives government the information regarding the number of people there are (i) being born in Canada, (ii) what the amount of government transfers are to be, and (iii) to send out the large or small census to understand the needs in areas of Canada. Let’s all use some common sense, shall we.



There are a number of topics that have been brought to my attention, but suffice it to say, the BNA and all of our constitutions remain intact in one form or another. Yes, you must pay your taxes, whether you think you need to or not.

Yes, you must have a driver’s license or you are committing, yet another fraud. As expressed in Magna Carta, only farm equipment is exempt and that is so food can be produced. (Yes, it is stated there and continues in our laws).

Yes, you must pay your mortgages and/or any loans back. Again, if you don’t you are committing fraud and theft. You have no honor and your word means nothing if you don’t.

Yes, you need a birth certificate and no, that certificate is not “incorporating you.” It is a means of a census for transfers, etc., so use some common sense.



Again, the above are merely a few things people have asked about. One needs to use their own common sense and not listen to those who would place you in harms way by telling you otherwise. So, do some reading (a lot actually), and stop listening to those who aren’t giving you the full information, you need, to make truly, lawfully, informed decisions.

Hello Everyone



It has been brought to my attention that the Town of the Blue Mountains Mayor – Andrea Matrosov, will be running for Warden of Grey County. As some of your know this Mayor went to Dubai for the 28th Climate Action Conference and is a staunch supporter of ICLEI and its partners. It would be a thought, perhaps, if you do not want Grey County to continue to go down the ICLEI path, to ask your Mayor or Deputy Mayor to run for Warden. This will have to be done as soon as possible because some have suggested that the residents of Grey County, and the residents of the various lower tier municipalities, in Grey County, cannot afford this movement. This is up to you, but for the sake of democracy…please think about supporting a reasonable Mayor or Deputy Mayor who understands the tax-payers cannot afford all of this

OLD ROOSTER here, and I got to say I aint ever heard of anything so gestapo-like as that there speech the tilty headed little finance minister made splainin’ that there capital gains tax she be wanted to implement. WHHHOOOOEEEE with that there speech and with that report bein’ released by them Canadian secret service folks if’n I twere a gamblin’ bird I jest might be puttin’ my money on that tilty headed little finance girlie.

Now a Rooster aint no accountant but even a cocky barn-yard pe**er can see this here increase in the capital gains aint gonna be on them 1 percenters. And goin’ back to what that tilty headed little finance minister had to say, and you don’t be laughin’ but this here is what she done and said:

“Do we want to live in a country where those at the very top live lives of luxury but must do so in gated communities behind ever higher fences using private health care and airplanes because the public sphere is so degraded and the wrath of the vast majority of their lesser privileged compatriots burns so hot…”

Now me and some of the chickens, heck even the old mule, well we had us a real good laugh over the language she be usin’. But the one word that really stood out to all of us that kind of really quieted all of us down twas that word “compatriot.” Soon as we heard that, well, we all looked at each other and decided this aint no statement from a minister in a free and democratic country. Heck we was kinda surprised she just didn’t break out the word “comrades” all the while rollin’ her “r.”

And this here plan well it be socialist, if not that there communism, 101. This is where government try and convince the folks that government is just takin’ from the real rich and not the everyday folks, and yet, that’s exactly what this here government is doin.’ They is takin from the small business owners, them folks that worked hard all their lives so they could buy things that they can leave to their kin, sell for their retirement and the like. These aint thems, like the tilty headed minister of finance who is flyin’ all over the world, livin’ the life of Riley and so on. Maybe she just tilty headed herself one too many times to not be realizin’ this is just hurtin all of them yongin’s causin Ma and Pa aint gonna have as much to be passin’ in their estates, let alone to be able to retire on in a good life style.

My friend who emails this here thingie for me, well she talks bout a book called “Why They Behave Like Russians.” And from that book, well there’s a pretty good paragraph or so, and you can maybe be doin’ a comparison. Here you’s go:

This is the OLD ROOSTER saying WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE, that there tility headed finance minister is figurin’ that she be part of them that is “trained to deal with such matters,” and yet with all that fancy “compatriot” or should we be sayin “comrade’ chatter, she be showin’ she aint so trained tother than to be taken from the average folks to give to the elites that be workin’ for her and her kind. So, get that there coffee of your’n’ done, causin ifn’ this is allowed to continue you’ll be lucky ifn’ you’ll even be able to get, let alone drink, another cup of that coffee…

Amazing letter/speech from a resident from Grey Highlands
Who spoke infront of Grey highlands council at the town hall meeting May 21st

"I care about the environment, as all sane people do. Thousands of native trees were planted on my land. I did this because I want to have clean air, and clean water for my children and grandchildren.
The Grey County Green Development Plan and the Grey County Climate Action Plans are part of a massive effort to create global governance. This shows up in our municipality as a trilateral staff regional government through the promotion of what some people call “Sustainable Development”.
“Sustainable Development” is a concept based on the principle that the government has the right and the responsibility to regulate the affairs of people to achieve the government’s vision of the “public interest” or the over-used statement of “protecting the environment for future generations.”
Has anyone asked our future generation if they want to be saddled with extensive taxation to pay for all of this purported “sustainable development”, that isn’t even something designed in Canada for Canadians?
So, to say that “Sustainable Development” meaning these Green Development Plans and the Grey County Climate Action Plan is for the public good is to go against the democratic rights of the residents and provincial legislation. In particular the Green Development Plan was created to put pressure on the provincial government to amend the Building Code Act. – harming those who merely want somewhere to live at a reasonable cost.
Only in the past few years have ordinary people begun to realize that “sustainable development” is a global initiative, through ICLEI and its partners – Partners for Climate Protection, and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities who have made the following statement “arenas are often the worst offenders in terms of energy use and Green House Gas emissions...” Along with foreign ideologies from such entities as the United Nations and China’s Belt and Road Initiative we are now getting a glimpse of the magnitude of the transformation of Canada that is underway.
Global initiatives, such as Sustainable Development, The Transferring of Financial Support from Fossil Fuels to Renewables, which erodes our Canadian energy security, Walkable Towns and Cities, The 17 Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Science by Consensus, etc. …will cripple our Canadian economy and remove the ability of our children and grandchildren to live happy, meaningful lives.
Grey County Green development Plans and Grey County Climate Action Plans are typical of this global transformation policymaking and do not reflect our reality in Canada. The Housing Affordability Crises that we are presently in can only be exaggerated by these “green development regulations and plans” and no one can afford these so called “green” homes” nor the “green taxes” that are involved in these plans.
I had hoped to be retired by 65, the need to work would be done, however given our present economy this has become impossible. My government pensions cannot meet the present demand on my bank account, and I know that there are many in Grey Highlands who share the same predicament. Greenwashing is the last thing I need to hear from our municipal governments when a trip to the grocery store leaves me sick to my stomach, let alone trying to heat my home and fill my car with fuel.
For the preservation of your residents and their culture - Please just stop! Halt the planning and plans you are presently pursuing. Simply ask the people who elected you to represent them and what they need, not what your staff or some third party entity tells you. It is time to take your direction from us, the residents and not the foreign entities or conflicted NGO’s!"
