ape Enrage Adventures

Experience Cape Enrage by rappelling on the sheer and rugged cliffs of the Bay of Fundy. Step off the edge of our 320 million year old rock formation to rappel down the 140 ft. For a faster thrill, try our 600ft zip line and view the Fundy Coast from a new perspective; zipping alongside the cliffs! All of our adventures are overseen by our experienced Adventure Guides and all equipment is provided. For rappelling, we recommend a dark or old t-shirt or sweatshirt as the rope may leave a mark on clothing. We recommend wearing layers, and for all adventures (and even hiking around the beach) footwear should be hiking shoes/boots or running shoes with good traction. We accept both individual and group reservations. Rappelling groups are limited to 12 people per session, though we can accommodate larger groups if they have booked as a group and agree to certain conditions. Rappelling is restricted to youth 12 yrs and up or a minimum of 36 Kg (80lbs). Zip line is open 7 days per week but has weight restrictions depending on wind conditions.

* Bookings are guaranteed by a 100% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Cancellation of booking with less than 24 hours notice from appointment time and no-shows are charged 100% of booking price. HST not included. For Individuals:
Zip Line - 3 runs: $53.90 + tax
Rappel - 2 hours: $99.95 + tax
Rappel & Zip line: $139.95 + tax

For Groups (per person):

Zip Line (10 - 15 ppl) - 3 runs: $48.95 + tax
Zip Line (16 - 30 ppl) - 3 runs: $44.95 + tax

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cape Enrage to Remain Closed for the 2026 Season
Fundy Albert, NB — APRIL 22nd, 2026

The Board of Directors of Cape Enrage Interpretive Center (CEIC), regret to announce that the Cape Enrage site will not be open to visitors for the 2026 season. Until this season, CEIC has been contracted by the province to manage and operate the provincially owned facility.

This decision comes after ongoing challenges and a lack of operational certainty, including the absence of a formal operating contract with the Province since March 31, 2026. Without this agreement, CEIC has been unable to responsibly plan or execute a safe and sustainable season.

Cape Enrage has long been a valued destination in the region, welcoming 20,000 to 25,000 visitors annually, and reaching a peak of 45,000 visitors following its feature on The Amazing Race Canada. Over the years, CEIC’s volunteer Board — serving entirely without remuneration or reimbursement of expenses — has worked diligently over the years to enhance the site, investing significant time and effort into improving the kitchen, restaurant, buildings, and overall visitor experience, helping establish Cape Enrage as a premier destination in New Brunswick.

Despite these efforts, CEIC has faced increasing operational challenges. Historically, the province has provided financial assistance to support the maintenance of provincially-owned buildings and infrastructure, and assist with general operations. This year, CEIC and the province have not been able to reach a satisfactory management agreement that enables the site to be opened and operated safely in a manner expected by the attending public.

Additional structural challenges have further impacted sustainability. These include limited progress on improving road access to the site, which has long been identified as a key factor in unlocking the Cape’s full tourism potential. The absence of clarity and continuity in this support has made it impossible to maintain operations at the standard expected by visitors, the community and the province.

This is an extremely difficult outcome for the CEIC Board and for the many people who rely on Cape Enrage for seasonal employment and those that value it as a destination, community asset, and symbol of regional pride. The CEIC Board recognizes the significance of this moment but remains hopeful that the Cape Enrage location may continue in some capacity in the future, and that its legacy, community value, and contributions to the region will be preserved and honoured. In the meantime, they extend their sincere gratitude to the visitors, partners, and community members who have supported the site over the years.

🌟 A Heartfelt Thank You as We Close the Season 🌟

As we wrap up another incredible season at Cape Enrage, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the people who made it all possible.

To our amazing staff — you’ve been the heart and soul of everything we do. Your hard work, dedication, and passion shone through in every shift, every smile, and every extra mile you went to make this season unforgettable. You’ve faced challenges with grace, celebrated victories with joy, and created an atmosphere that felt like home for everyone who walked through our doors. I am honoured to have worked alongside such a talented and caring team.

To our wonderful guests — thank you for choosing to spend your time with us, for your laughter, your support, and for being part of our story. From first time visitors to our seasonal regulars, you’ve helped create the memories that make this place so special.

As we close up for the season, we do so with full hearts and a deep appreciation for each and every one of you. This isn’t goodbye — it’s simply “see you next season.” Until then, we’ll be carrying the warmth of this year’s moments with us.

Here’s to the memories we’ve made, the friendships we’ve built, and the excitement of what’s to come. 💛

Thank you — from all of us, to all of you.

David Jacombs, Managing Director
