Properties throughout our neighborhoods have been the targets of graffiti throughout the Summer. The property crimes have been at their worst along the Kingshighway corridor, stretching from the Interstate 44 viaduct through Arsenal Street. Commercial properties from the Hill to North Hampton have been particularly hard hit.

We need your help. If you’re a graffiti victim, please make a police report. The report is necessary to document the crime and educate police about the specifics of your situation. As many as 18 properties have been hit over the last six weeks. Of those, one police report was made. To state the obvious: our 2nd District officers cannot investigate crimes that haven’t been reported.

Our residents have tremendous pride in our neighborhoods. That pride is part of the strength underlying our communities. But, please make your police report and document the damage before you clean up. Photographs serve as evidence of the crime.
