Finding the right birth control shouldn't feel like a constant trade-off. 🛑

Many women face painful IUD insertions or side effects from daily hormonal pills. To change this, Elle MD Biotechnologies just raised $1.1 million CAD to develop their non-hormonal, once-monthly contraceptive ring called Livv.

Here is how the Livv ring works:
👉 It uses silicone and copper to stop s***m without releasing any hormones.
👉 It gives women full control because they can easily remove it themselves anytime.
👉 It is heading into its first in-human clinical trials at The Ottawa Hospital - L'Hôpital d'Ottawa this fall!

This funding is a massive step forward for true innovation in women's health.

Did you know that reproductive health gaps in Canada haven’t improved in three generations?

A national survey by myStoria of 1,000 women reveals a system that still fails to prepare women for their own bodies, with the same barriers persisting from mothers to daughters.

Here are 3 key findings from the "What They Didn’t Teach You in S*x Ed" report:

🏥 Provider Dismissal:
More than 54% of women have been told their symptoms were "normal" by a healthcare provider, only to later find out they weren’t

📚 The Education Gap:
56% of women say school-based s*x education did not prepare them for adult reproductive health

⏳ The Navigation Burden:
Over 62% of women needed more than one provider to get a meaningful answer to a reproductive health question

“This is not a story about individual providers failing individual patients. It is a story about a system that was never designed to prepare us for our own bodies." - Jessica Chalk (Founder and CEO, myStoria)

Workplaces in Manitoba are about to look a lot different.

Starting September 1st, all provincially regulated companies must provide free menstrual products to their staff. To help meet the mandate, local investment fund Women's Equity Lab Manitoba just backed Marlow, a Canadian startup making organic, toxin-free period care.

Here's how Marlow is growing:
📌 They created the first-ever lubricated tampon for more comfortable insertion.
📌 They already signed deals with four Manitoba workplaces and Red River Co-op.
📌 Their goal is to bring period care into the mainstream and break old taboos.

This partnership is a huge win for inclusive corporate spaces and women's health!
