Happy birthday Jayden!!

Jayden, there is never a shortage of laughs when you’re around and your love of music makes it even better. Whether you’re singing, talking Beatles, working on the ukulele, or just being your hilarious self, you bring a whole lot of personality into whatever you’re doing.

You’ve got that too-notxh performer side that just seems to come naturally, and I love seeing you lean into it. Keep the music playing, keep the jokes coming and keep doing all the things that make you, you!

Hope you have a seriously awesome bday and a year ahead filled with plenty of music, laughs, new things to learn, and moments worth turning up the volume for! Looking forward to celebrating with you this evening!

Hi there!

Unique Optimism will be taking one last little break of the year from September 12 to September 19.

I’ll be unplugging from most of the usual UO things during this time and taking a little time to recharge before we jump into our Fall Trailblazers Club season & Adventure Club Fall season the following week.

I’ll occasionally check emails when I can, but please don’t expect my usual response times during this week. I’ll also be unplugged from the BAND app during this time. I will NOT be able to check voicemail or texts during this time.

Thank you, as always, for your patience, your support, and for being part of UO. I’m so grateful for this little community we’ve built and for every single person who has been part of it.

See you on the trail!

Onward and Upward,
Ashley

We added another Sam place to the list today lol!

We checked out Sam’s Orchard Sam’s Orchard in Freelton today and I think we found a new favourite!

It’s a newer, up and coming apple orchard and it was actually SO nice. Not overly commercialized, not crazy busy, just a really nice little place to spend the afternoon.

And of course, Sam got to meet Sam himself lol. He was such a nice guy and we had a good chat with him!

Honestly, I think we both preferred it to some of the bigger, super commercialized apple picking places. There’s something about the smaller, more chill places that I just like way more.

They’re still building things up, but there’s already lots to do and you can tell there’s a lot of love going into the place. Definitely worth checking them out and giving them a follow if you’re looking for somewhere to go this fall!

We were also going to check out Sammy’s Ancaster for lunch because obviously we couldn’t pass up another Sam place lol. BUT Google said they were open and Google lied to us. We checked their Instagram and they’re sadly closed for renovations.

So Sammy’s will have to wait for another day! But hey, another Sam place checked off the list! Haha

Happy birthday Aaron!!!! Party like a rockstar!

You’re always up for getting out, trying something new, and seeing where the day takes us, which has made for some pretty great adventures. Add in your balloon animal skills, your rapping, and your genuinely kind and friendly personality, and there’s never any shortage of things that make you, well, you!!

Hope today is full of whatever makes birthdays worth celebrating and that this next year brings plenty more adventures your way..

Wishing you the most epic birthday yet! Stay rad!

Summer 2026, you were a good one.

What a freaking rad summer with an equally rad crew. So many laughs, new adventures, new experiences, memories & probably a ton of awesome sauce chaos along the way!

A massive thank-you to my Adventure Club crew for another amazing season. I'm forever grateful that I get to adventure alongside you guys and for the never-ending support you show UO. It is the absolute bees knees!

Gotta also throw out a very massive thank-you to all of the parents and guardians as well for the continued support and for trusting me with your people. It means a lot, and The Adventure Club wouldn't be what it is without you all. Ya, yah I'm lame lol.

And now, onto the Fall season! I'll be seeing many of you again, along with some new AC crew members, for the Fall season of The Adventure Club that starts back up at the end of September!

What a rad summer. Stay awesome, pals!
