OUR MISSION

Help Heal Humanity is an internationally registered charity mindfully designed to provide the world’s most at-risk populations with access to education, food, community, and love. We build the infrastructure, develop the programming, and foster the global connections necessary to support the agency and future of the people in our project countries. Through unconditional giving, Help Heal Humanity achieves its mission of empowering, inspiring and loving those in need in a compassionate and sustainable way. OUR CORE VALUES

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Help Heal Humanity! 🍁

Thanksgiving is a moment to pause and look at what we’ve been given. For us, that’s the people. The donors who believed in a classroom they would never sit in. The volunteers who gave their evenings and weekends. The students in Hamilton who joined our club because they wanted to do something good. The families and young people in Haiti who trust us with their hopes for school, for food on the table, for a future they get to shape.

So today we say thank you. Thank you for showing up, for sharing our story, for giving, and for reminding us that kindness grows when we do it together.

We wish you a table full of the people you love, a plate full of everything delicious, and a heart full of gratitude. 🧡

On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we reflect on a painful history that continues to shape the present day.

The impacts of the residential school system are not contained in history books, they live on across generations of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis families and communities. True reconciliation requires more than observing a single date on the calendar; it demands continuous action, accountability, and unlearning.

How to move beyond awareness into action:

🧡 Read the 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and identify steps you or your workplace can take.

🧡 Seek out and support Indigenous authors, artists, leaders, and community organizations.

🧡 Consider donating directly to Indigenous-led organizations that provide mental health, cultural, and community support to Survivors and intergenerational survivors.

Reconciliation is an ongoing practice, not a destination. Today and every day, let's show up with open minds, humility, and a commitment to real change.

🕊️ Honoring a Founding Father of Freedom 🕊️

Today, we celebrate the birthday of Jean-Jacques Dessalines; born September 20, 1758, and forever remembered as the leader who carried the Haitian Revolution to its victory.

Dessalines didn't just fight for independence. He secured it, leading the movement that made Haiti the first free Black republic in the world, and later becoming its first ruler as Emperor Jacques I.

His legacy is one of resilience, sacrifice, and an unshakable belief that freedom and dignity are not privileges to be granted, but rights to be claimed.

At Help Heal Humanity, that same spirit lives in the work we do every day in Haiti: building access to education, food security, and opportunity for the next generation. Dessalines fought for a free Haiti. We're honored to keep fighting for a thriving one.

Happy birthday to a revolutionary who changed the course of history. 🇭🇹❤️

Behind every classroom is a story of sacrifice. ❤️

When tuition felt out of reach, one father found another way to give, offering his hands, his time, and his labour to help build the school his children would learn in.

His story is a reminder that education is never built by one person alone. It is built by parents, teachers, communities, and supporters who believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn.

This September, a handful of students from ASD at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School are stepping into something truly special: a weekly partnership with TEAD Therapeutic Riding Centre in Mount Hope, Ontario.

For neurodivergent learners, this kind of hands-on, sensory-rich experience can be transformative. The gentle motion of brushing a horse's coat. The trust built leading a 1,000-pound animal who responds only to calm, clear energy. The pride of mastering a new skill, one session at a time.

Led by certified TEAD instructors alongside our very own and a dedicated team of Educational Assistants, this program is about so much more than horses. It's about:

🌱 Building emotional regulation and self-awareness
🗣️ Strengthening communication — verbal and non-verbal
🤝 Growing confidence, connection, and independence
🧠 Reinforcing focus, sequencing, and follow-through

This is the first step in a three-year vision: from grooming, to riding, to eventually mentoring the next group of students who walk through TEAD's doors.

Huge thanks to Bufalino for championing this partnership, and to Therapeutic Riding Centre — a Hamilton charity that's spent over 45 years empowering individuals of all abilities through the power of horses.

More than fashion — this is community. 🧡

Last weekend, Help Heal Humanity teamed up with for an event that was so much more than a runway — it was community, in every sense of the word. Students from our HHH Club showed up to represent, share what their fundraising and outreach work has meant for them and remind everyone in the room why we do this.

Live music, local designers, and a room full of people choosing to show up for something bigger than themselves. That's the kind of night that fuels the work ahead.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, asked questions, and believed in the mission. This is just the beginning! Yes, yes, yes! 💫

For many children in Haiti, a school meal is more than just lunch; it can be the only reliable source of nutrition they receive that day.

Through Project Nourish, Help Heal Humanity works to provide consistent, nutritious meals to students, helping them stay nourished, focused, and ready to learn. ❤️🍽️
