🛰️ WHAT IF SATELLITES COULD THINK IN SPACE?

Imagine a satellite flying over the Arctic.

It spots a vessel in distress. Instead of sending massive amounts of raw data back to Earth and waiting for it to be processed, onboard AI could identify the situation and send an alert directly from orbit. ⚡

That’s the power of edge computing in space.

Smarter satellites. Faster intelligence. Less waiting for answers.

And this is exactly the kind of technology we’re exploring at SpaceHack 2026! 🚀

Right now, students at Dalhousie are working with modern satellite systems, including technologies like Galaxia’s Möbius SDS, to explore how software can make spacecraft smarter and more capable.

The coolest part?

Some of this software could have the opportunity to fly aboard Galaxia’s Super Raven mission in 2027.

Build it on Earth. Run it in orbit.
