What a weekend!! (Why is it that I forget to take any good photos at these events?? Having too much fun I guess!) Podium 2026 truly celebrated who were really are as a Canadian Choral community… it felt welcoming, grounded, real, and full of heart. So many moving performances, informative sessions, and the best part, connecting with colleagues and friends from across the country. Rich conversations, sharing of experiences and lots of laughs. ❤️ Not to forget the glorious warm and colourful spring BC weather and the beauty of the U Victoria campus - what a special place. After what our arts community has gone through the last few months, it provided some levity for the soul, a time to breathe, reflect, learn and reenergize for the next step in our journey. Thank you to Choral Canada, BCCF, and all the organizers, donors, volunteers and everyone who made it possible! See you all at Podium2028… in WINNIPEG!!! ❤️

ONE WEEK TO GO! 🥰 We would love to see you next Saturday to celebrate with these caring, unique, hardworking, wonderful young musicians!

Join us for our spring concert, “A Patch of Light: Times Like These” on Saturday, May 23 at Horton High Performance Centre at 2pm & 7pm. 🎟 www.cantamara.ca/performances

Through a lens of diversity, authenticity, this colourful concert will speak poignantly about fighting against a changing world that puts a heavy weight on our shoulders, and finding the patches of light that offer hope. It’s music that reflects the mood of the times we’re living through, and that invites audiences to reflect on what matters.

The audience will recognize many of the songs from artists Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Bill Withers, Pink, AURORA and yes, even the Foo Fighters!

The concert will also feature guest musicians Tyler Mcdonald, percussion, and Michael MacPhee, guitar.
