Today is the day Everyone is Interesting opens at Halifax Fringe Festival!! Shows by Mammalian Diving Reflex and led by a team of fantastic local young performers!!

Meet in front of the Halifax Central Library!!

SiNS is excited to be collaborating with Toronto’s Mammalian Diving Reflex to bring a special presentation of Everyone is Interesting to the Halifax Fringe Festival. We’re working with a group of local young performers who will join the Mammalian team to bring the project to life here in Halifax.

Over the course of this 60-minute neighbourhood tour, the artists guide audiences through public spaces to meet, play with, and get to know the strangers they share the city with - proving the universal truth that Everyone is Interesting.

Presented by SiNS Dance and suddenlyLISTEN on Thursday, May 14, this show features 2 different sets of performance and music starting at 7 and 8pm - please come when you can, and stay with us for a part, or the whole evening!

The program features a range of short works, including a new collaboration between dancers Jacinte Armstrong and Solène Bernier with acclaimed Acadian artist François Gaudet; a new graphic score by Norm Adams; a duet by Lydia Zimmer and Anastasia Wiebe; and Marrin Jessome’s latest trio, Glass Plate No. 3. Armstrong will also perform I Chart en acadien, an Acadian variation of her solo choreographed by Sarah Chase, and Brandon Auger will present his object-based sound performance near-field (10), following its tour across Canada last summer.

Le programme présente une variété de courtes œuvres, incluant une nouvelle collaboration entre les danseuses Jacinte Armstrong et Solène Bernier avec l’artiste acadien renommé François Gaudet; une nouvelle partition graphique de Norm Adams; un duo de Lydia Zimmer et Anastasia Wiebe; ainsi que le plus récent trio de Marrin Jessome, Glass Plate No. 3.
