SiNS Dance SINS (sometimes in Nova Scotia) is a collective of contemporary dance artists that strives to create and bring exciting contemporary dance work to Nova Scotia.

SiNS is a collective of contemporary dance artists that strive to create and bring exciting contemporary dance work to Nova Scotia. SiNS is a vehicle for creation and performance for dance artists, both resident or with a strong connection to Nova Scotia, to develop their talent and work together for the benefit of the artists and the Nova Scotia dance community. SiNS was established by its three

co-founders: Jacinte Armstrong, Susanne Chui and Sara Coffin, and continues under the Artistic Direction of Jacinte Armstrong. Sometimes in Nova Scotia, and sometimes not, SiNS endeavours to build collaborative opportunities between Nova Scotia and abroad—and for other artists who are interested in the area. With a keen interest in the investigative process and continuous growth through a constant exchange of ideas, SiNS operates through flexible, project-based partnerships that further creation, production, performance and touring within a model of continuous exchange. SiNS engages a broad cross-section of the dance community in shared learning experiences and new work development. SiNS is a vehicle for a collaboration and dialogue between artists and audiences of Nova Scotia and beyond. Since its inception, SiNS has created over 10 works in Nova Scotia by artists Jacinte Armstrong, Sara Coffin, Susanne Chui, Susan Lee, Daelik, Thomas Lehmen, Kelly Keenan, and Denise Fujiwara. SiNS has been presented by Live Art Dance, Kinetic, and the City of Halifax, and has toured the Maritimes and across Canada including performances in Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria.

June 21-24, 2025 Kjipuktuk/Halifax.

Continuum is an inquiry into the nature of fluids. We are the movement of water on land. At the most intrinsic level of our being, like the ocean, we undulate, pulsate, arc and spiral. When we slow down and pay attention to these biological movements, they teach us about the art of being – in the body, in the moment, in life.

In these workshops, we will explore a variety of breaths and vocalized sounds that stimulate the fluid system; engage in a fluid range of non-patterned movement from a micro to macro level and in different relationships to gravity; and with our presence, silently attend to the sensations and movements that emerge.

Linda Rabin brings to her teaching 50 years of experience in the fields of dance, movement education, coaching and directing. In her earlier professional life she was a choreographer, dance teacher and co-founder of l’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (founded in 1981). In the 1990’s Linda turned her attention to somatic education and became a certified practitioner of Body-Mind Centering®, and an authorized teacher of Continuum, the practice that is at the heart of her teaching today. As an international Continuum workshop leader, Linda teaches in her native Montreal, in Canada, Europe and Asia. She shares her life’s passion with people from all walks of life: movement both as art and healing, as a way of life knowledge and spiritual practice.
